Human Research Ethics

The University of Divinity’s Human Research Ethics Committee is appointed by the University Council under Regulation 1 and has oversight of human research ethics throughout the University in accordance with the National Statement on Ethical Conduct of Research Involving Humans.

The ethical and legal responsibilities of researchers towards research participants should reflect the values of integrity, respect for persons, beneficence and justice.

All HDR students and academic staff undertaking research projects involving human subjects must apply for HREC clearance in accordance with the National Statement.

Fees and fee-related forms

The student tuition fee must be paid in full prior to the commencement of study. Fees are paid directly to the University of Divinity at the time of enrolment.

HDR Ancillary Research Grants

HDR Students can apply for funding for costs associated with their candidacy via the HDR Ancillary Funding Application Form.
