Hundreds of different units are on offer each year at the University of Divinity. Each unit may be taught at one or more of the colleges.
How do I know which units to choose?
To succesfully complete your study, you will need to undertake units that meet the ‘Course structure’ requirements for that award. These are specified on the course page for each award. Some courses require a sequence of specific units to be undertaken, while other courses require a given value of points to be completed in a certain discipline or level.
For help choosing units, book an appointment with a course advisor at your (intended) Home College.
A summary of units offered each year can be consulted at the online Unit Directory.
Units are offered at one of the following levels:
Each unit listing provides details such as the unit code, unit title, points, mode, and the College offering the unit. You can click on the unit title for more information such as when it is next scheduled to run (where relevant), and unit detail such as a description of the content, learning outcomes and an indicative bibliography.
Using the filter
Not all units are offered every semester. To see which units are scheduled for the current calendar year, set the filter to “this year”. You can also filter units by level, mode, college or discipline.
The University of Divinity structures its learning, teaching and research around a range of disciplines. The abbreviation for each discipline used in unit codes throughout the University and its Colleges.
* For the purpose of meeting prescribed course structures, units coded CP or SC will be considered equivalent to DP units.
Many of our units allow you to benefit from an online or hybrid learning environment, providing the flexibility of study to fit into your everyday life. Whether you work full-time, your geographical location prevents you from attending lectures, or you simply prefer an online experience, online study can help you achieve your learning and personal goals.
At the conclusion of your study, you will graduate with the same qualification you would receive if you had studied on campus.
